Erin McLaughlin is an NBC News correspondent based in New York, reporting on major breaking stories in the U.S. and abroad, as well as investigative and accountability stories. She was previously a CNN international correspondent based in London and Brussels.

At NBC she reports for NBC Nightly News, TODAY and NBC News Now. She reported live from Kyiv as Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine began in February 2022, covered the Israel–Hamas war including the November 2023 hostage releases, and was on air in Israel during Iran's ballistic missile attack in October 2024. Her recent work includes NBC News' Cost of Denial investigation into health-insurance claim denials.

At CNN she covered the downing of MH17, the 2015 Paris attacks, the 2016 Brussels bombings — including exclusive reporting on ISIS recruitment networks in Belgium — the Berlin Christmas market attack, the search for MH370, the Germanwings crash, the Brexit referendum, and Russia's annexation of Crimea and Petro Poroshenko's 2014 presidential campaign in Ukraine.
